Always use a lawyer when possible and never forget your A - B - C's
A - Never give a broker an earnest money deposit before investigating the business, just to prove your a serious buyer.
After all - What does a deposit have to do with meeting a seller, you can lose the money.
B - Never give a broker a deposit you can lose it, Always use the brokerage or the buyers lawyer.
We ask buyers to place deposits with their lawyer or our brokerage ( ONLY ) never give a seller a deposit directly!
C - Never accept broker cash flow or expenses statistics (always) do your own homework until satisfied with the results.
Remember brokers only make money if you buy a business - investigate as much as possible before placing a deposit.
The choice to sell may be one of the most important financial decisions you'll ever make. A key to selling is assigning the proper valuation, when sellers are serious the business is priced aggressively. Sellers should never allow a broker to take a deposit unless the check is made out to a lawyer or the Brokerage, if not the seller runs the risk of losing money remember you cant sell while in litigation
